In nice weather enjoy a wine tasting in the family-oriented tasting room. It is a 30-by-60 foot outdoor pavilion with sidewalk chalk and a football for kids to play with. Bring a picnic basket to enjoy the afternoon in our beautiful country surroundings. (No beverages allowed). In the winter the wine tastings are located in the cozy wine tasting cottage. All of our wines are Estate Bottled, which means we make all our wine from our own grapes harvested in our vineyards and are bottled in our winery on premises. Please know that dogs are welcome. But please, leashes only. We have cats to protect. Thank You!

September is Missouri Wine Month!Vidal Blanc

(JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri) - September is proclaimed as the official Missouri Wine Month. Harvest has begun in the vineyards of Missouri wine country, and it is time to celebrate the bounty of the Missouri wine industry. The State's many wineries and the Missouri Wine and Grape Board invite you to celebrate the fruits of their labor.

Missouri has a rich history of winemaking, dating back to the early 1800s. Prohibition slowed the industry to a near halt, but in 2013 there were 1,700 bearing acres of grapes in the state. The annual economic impact of wine and grapes on the Missouri economy is $1.6 billion, and more than 14,000 jobs were generated from wine production based on research reported by Stonebridge Research in 2010.

"While the Missouri wine industry continues to grow, thrive and make a strong economic imprint on our state, at the same time we are boosting awareness of the industry and the high quality of wines produced here," said Peter Hofherr, Chairman of the Missouri Wine and Grape Board.

There are 128 recognized wineries in Missouri and they will be hosting a wide range of events throughout the season from crush festivals to bonfires to harvest tours and more. Missouri wines continue to receive awards and accolades at national and international wine competitions. Tastings at wineries offer the opportunity to experience these award-winning wines and talk to the winemakers.

There are ten Missouri Wine Trails, a group of wineries banding together to offer consumers a unique wine experience in their region. One of these trails, The Lake of the Ozarks Wine Trail, is brand new, having been announced August 6 of this year. Each trail offers a new and unique experience for visitors.

The Missouri Wine and Grape Board has a Winery Explorer trip-planning feature on missouriwine.org to help consumers plan their visit to wine country. The feature allows users to easily plan their trip to as many wineries as they'd like from their computers, and access saved trips from their smartphones using the Missouri Wines free app.

Celebrate local wine during Missouri Wine Month!

We would like to invite you to our Winery and 3,200 Vine Vineyard. We are located on a 550 acre authentic vintage farm nestled in the Ozark Mountains. We offer wedding and party packages ranging from venue rental to full service party planning. Our farm and vineyard is a family friendly historic conservation site, near Potosi, Missouri, just 65 miles southwest of St. Louis. We can accommodate up to 250 guests with parking for 200 cars.

If you are looking for a lovely site for a winery or vineyard wedding, be sure to come for a visit. Our current facilities include several charming wedding ceremony sites, the Wedding Field, large enough to accommodate reception tents up to 80' x 160', or the newly expanded 30' x 60' Garden Pavilion. Enjoy a cocktail reception near a historic 1931 granary barn, decorate with antique wagons and tractors, surprise guests with a canon salute and a variety of firework displays. We have the resources to offer a variety of caterers, and professional bar staff. Spectacular floral wedding arbors created by a local florist add that extra special touch. Professional design staff are available to assist with site decorations. We have exclusive access to gifts and accessories for guests or Bridal Party. Custom transportation arrangements can be made and an ordained minister is available to perform ceremonies. Overnight accommodations at Trout Lodge Conference Center on Sunnen Lake or at Latty Route Inn B & B are located within three miles.

Did You Know...
In the 1870s, a dangerous vineyard pest, the phylloxera louse, destroyed enormous tracts of vineyards in France. Missouri helped rebuild the European vineyards by sending phylloxera resistant American rootstock to be grafted with French vine cuttings. The resultant vines proved extremely hardy and soon the French wine industry was back on its feet.
